S.C. Mittal – Chairman

With a Bachelor’s degree from Dayalbagh College, Agra and over 45 years experience in the Indian E&P industry, Satish Chander Mittal is responsible for the overall guidance and stewardship of the Samit Group. He was with ONGC for over 30 years in various roles in the Drilling Group and was responsible for their drilling operations both on the West and East cost of India. Since 1988 he has lead a onshore drilling company and then an offshore drilling contractor as Director (Operations). He currently also serves as a non-Executive Director on the board of Tata Petrodyne.

Sanjeev Mittal – Director
Sanjeev Mittal holds a Bachelor in Technology degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India, Master of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, State College, USA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from International Management Institute, New Delhi, India. He then worked in the software development group for three years at the Research & Development division of Baroid Corporation, Houston, Texas, USA which resulted in a US patent being awarded in 1992. Since inception of Samit Group in 1990, Sanjeev has been leading its growth inIndia. His education and work experience in the US followed by over fifteen years of business management in India, provides him with the skills to manage operations for companies doing business in both countries.

K.G. Gupta – Head Processing
After graduating from Banaras Hindu University, he joined Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGCL) and worked on Seismic Data Acquisition, Processing and analysis of Seismic Data of varying vintages, basins and configurations in almost all the marine and onshore areas of the country. He has a very rich experience in handling seismic data processing for about 15 years in ONGCL. After working in ONGCL for about 30 years, he has been working as independent consultant, mainly supervising seismic data processing and interpretation in various private computer centres in India. He was actively engaged in seismic data processing with Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) for gas hydrates and was also engaged in seismic data analysis of the NELP data with Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH). He has been heading the processing group at Samit since 2001.
